I'll dominate 'serious boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.

Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
