19 of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been achieved on hardcourt
A revitalized Medvedev secured his maiden championship for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has had a difficult period, managing just one win at the major tournaments and experiencing a meltdown at the American major.
Medvedev's varied form on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in especial - led to him exiting of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with long-term mentor his previous coach.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, the tennis star has steadily improved in the last few weeks - peaking in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This marks the player's initial trophy since the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt from that period of the previous year.
Victory also indicates he has achieved twenty-one titles at twenty-one various competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to win a trophy is particularly special," stated world number 14 the champion.
"This title is in tribute of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had lost his last six title deciders, including in that event earlier this year.
The player's retrieving approach and frequent outbursts on the tennis court had prompted observers to question if his capacity to compete at the elite level was over.
Yet the player has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to come to the net and play positively, reinforced by an better serving game.
The champion recovered from a deficit in the initial set against the challenging opponent, taking four of the last five games to go ahead.
The pair swapped break points in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his first ATP Tour championship, took control to create a third set.
Moutet saved 4 early opportunities in a competitive final set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, he clinched victory with a point at the net, with his opponent failing to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
